Man shot in Wallingford; gang unit investigating
Seattle police are investigating a Tuesday night shooting in Wallingford that injured a man.
Residents called 911 around 7:45 p.m. to report several gunshots at North 41st Street and Wallingford Avenue North, said police spokesman Mark Jamieson. One witness said that after hearing shots, they saw a man being dragged into a tan sedan. Police arrived and could find only bullet casings.
The gunshot victim was dropped off at the University of Washington Medical Center about 15 minutes later, Jamieson said. Investigators interviewed the man at the hospital. The man’s medical condition was not released.
Jamieson said the department’s gang unit is investigating.
